Youth Pave Way for Community Relations

29th March 2018

On Tuesday 13 March more than 40 youth from Luton Central, Luton North, Marsh Farm and Dunstable Seventh-day Adventist churches braved sub-zero temperatures to say thank you to services that care for the community within the Luton and Dunstable areas.

With 11 youth visiting the local hospital, 4 visiting the Luton fire brigade and another 4 visiting the local police station, they relayed the thanks and appreciation of the community in which they live and this was warmly received by the appropriate officers and leaders on duty.  The junior doctors expressed their happiness and the teens were overwhelmed with this.

While this was going on several small groups visited Adventist shut-ins and the report back was very favourable. In the afternoon the youth took to the streets in the snow handing out food parcels to the homeless and went door to door giving out tracts. Some teens stated that this is a project that we as a church should consider doing more often.
