Lewisham Baptise Four

6th April 2018

Lewisham church continues to encourage each member to be involved in soul-winning and evangelism and what better way to remind the church of their responsibility than by having a baptism.

The Youth Week of Prayer ended with a wonderful baptismal service on sabbath 17 March and 4 precious individuals made decisions for Christ through baptism. Youth speaker, Andrew Fuller, reminded everyone including the candidates that, "Grace pardons and cleanses" and "Love fulfils the Law."

Andrew went on to say, "Life isn't always going to be full of 22love or even nice, sometimes you won't have the money to go to church, you may not even have family support but don't let the devil win... wait on the Lord; He will always be with us."

After the message, and the baptismal vows, Renan, Ken, Jackie, and Klara, came forward one by one into the pool. Each person is special in the sight of God and the Lewisham church family. Each one of these candidates' road to baptism was interesting and Spirit-led.

The day ended when the four new members were presented to the church after baptism and were presented with gifts and an official welcome by the pastors and elders. The Youth leaders also gave their official appreciation and farewell gift to Andrew Fuller for a well conducted and attended Youth Week of Prayer.

The baptism was conducted by Pastor Greg Wilson (intern) and senior pastor, Colin Stewart, who assisted.
