Adventist Radio London Prepares to 'Go Live'

6th April 2018

The team behind Adventist Radio London are preparing for their first 'live' broadcast on Sunday 8 April at 9:00 am with a special Sunday Breakfast. Broadcasting from the studio in Watford, there will be an opportunity to meet the team, listen to the forthcoming plans and to hear snippets of some of the shows.

On Sabbath, 7 April, the team along with representatives from Adventist World Radio (General Conference), the Trans-European Division, the British Union Conference and the South England Conference will gather at the Brixton Seventh-day Adventist church for a special dedication service and a time of prayer. Dr Emmanuel Osei, President of the SEC, will be the main speaker for the day. Prayers will be offered for the radio personnel, equipment, programming and fasting and prayer for those who will hear about God through the radio.

"It's been a long journey to get to this point," said Dr Mike Hamilton, Director of Adventist Radio London, "but I am so thankful to God that He has blessed and guided us to the point where we are ready to 'go live' with this initiative. We anticipate a very positive response and generation of energy as the new team gives themselves to this ministry. We do not see this as ordinary broadcasting, but a mission and it is God's mission."

The team consists of Dr Mike Hamilton, Director; Mike Johnson, Programme Controller, Pastor Julian Thompson, Religion Editor, Pastor Sam Gungaloo, Presenter/Producer; Lynette Allcock, Presenter/Producer; Vanesa Pizzuto, Presenter/Producer; Nigel Maunganidze, Presenter/Producer and Kallie Wheeler, PA to the team. They are a team of predominately young people who are devoting their creative skills to the service of God.

Commenting on Adventist Radio London, Dr Emmanuel Osei stated, "This radio station is a miracle and I know that God will do awesome things through the team. I know that souls will be drawn to our message through the worthy work of the radio and I'm excited for the future of mission through this ministry."

Adventist Radio London will be on digital audio broadcasting (DAB) radio.
