About Ebenezer Jones-Lartey
Pastor Ebenezer Jones-Lartey received his theological training at the Newbold College of Higher Education from 1987-1992.
Before his decision to enter the Gospel Ministry, he was a professional footballer from 1975-1983. He says, “football taught me how to handle challenges, and I have been able to draw from this experience to benefit my ministry.” Additionally, he worked as a Child Employment Officer at Lewisham Education and as Education Social Worker at Lambeth Education.
Until his recent appointment as the Ministerial Association Secretary of the South England Conference, he served as pastor in several London Churches including, Bethel, Croydon, Plumstead, Eltham Green, Peckham, New Life, Holcombe Road, and Brixton SDA.
Ebenezer held a few administrative roles in the London Area while serving as pastor. He served as Chair of the London Area Advisory Council for eight years. He also functioned as the London Ministers Council Chairperson.
He is currently pursuing a degree in law. He says, with his experience in law, he hopes to assist in areas of agreements, rights and responsibilities.
Ebenezer and his wife Comfort have been married for 35 years. They have two children, a son and a daughter and have two grandchildren. He says his passion is to serve people, and he feels motivated by the love of Christ. His hobby remains watching soccer.
